Frances was a dear friend of my family. I inherited several of her paintings. I cherish them and think of her and the Norman family each day I see them. Once many years ago I took a photo of her that she used when she had an exhibition in Houston.

You were my great friend Howard's dear Mom. I know he welcomed you to Heaven with love and rejoicing!

Youve chosen a perfect photo to illustrate our lively Tyler! So gracious and kind, Ill never forget the first time I met Tyler and saw every artists dream-come-true studio. Her eyes danced at the prospect of teaching a new protégé all the hard won knowledge she had been blessed with for a lifetime. We were more than willing students! Tyler was a very generous mentor. She gave 1000% more than she got back and it delighted her. The beauty of it all is we are able to pour out to others the knowledge, skills and patience that Tyler spilled out on us. She lives on and on this way. I am blessed. Thank you, Jaques and your family for all you did to support Tylers menagerie of hopeful student artists. Oh how she lived this! ...But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.Matthew 6:20-21 KJV

I called her Tyler because she asked me to. She used that as her 'painter's name' because she thought men would be more accepting of her work if they didn't know she was a woman! Tyler was one of the first people I met when my husband and I left Austin and moved to our farm at Rices's Crossing. We had an immediate connection through our love of art and I have her to thank for many pleasant hours spent painting and learning from her. She was a remarkable womankind, friendly, talented and generous with her knowledge of all things art. I learned more from her than any one else I studied with. I miss her greatly. Linda Looney

I admired Mrs. Norman. She was always kind, full of energy and amazing talent. Peace be with you all.

Hello family. We are sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was a kind and generous person. She even got to learn of our Grand Creators promise to bring her back to life under Paradisaic conditions coming soon. Our prayers are with your family, at this difficult time.Warmest love, Armon & Carol Briggs

I will carry you in my heart Aunt Frances! I loved you dearly!

I remember when we would visit you all in Houston, and at Budda's house. We kids always had a great time. I also remember when you came to the ranch. Many special memories happened there. I will always be grateful for the stories Aunt Frances shared with me and Bess about my childhood at Budda's house. Isaac is thankful that she took the time to spend a day with him on the color wheel in her studio. Her love for her family was very beautiful. She was a warm and caring individual who would help anyone in need. God bless her and all of her family. You have our deepest sympathy. Bob, Bess, Adam, Isaac and Sarah Farley

I admired Fran Norman from the moment I met her. We met when I was at City National Bank and she was a customer. It was pleasure to be with her and to learn of her life as an artist and a person. Lou Bergstrom
