She accepted Christ as a young child and was baptized by Pastor Porter Washington at Murphy Christian Church.
Janice attended O.L. Price Elementary School and graduated from Taylor High School in 1970, where she was an active member of the school choir.
She later attended Nixon-Clay Business School. Janice was employed by Basler Electric for many years before transitioning to the Taylor Independent School District. Her career was temporarily interrupted when she lovingly cared for her mother until her passing. Afterward, Janice returned to work with the school district until her health no longer allowed her to continue.
Janice was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing. She loved flowers, shopping, and was known as a fashionable dresser. Music was always at the center of her life. Her consistent humming was evidence that she always had a song in her heart. She often said, “I don’t know no full song,” and requested, “When my time comes, I want a musical.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Gage Robinson Kimble and Willie Robinson; her grandparents, Artie Rollie and Ollie Gage; and two sisters, Marian Robinson Dillard and Tammie Kimble Byrd.
She leaves to cherish her memory her life partner, Robert Montez of Taylor; one son, Christopher Robinson (Kayla) of The Woodlands; one daughter, Ashley Montez (Octavia) of Jarrell; one brother, Herbert F. Robinson (Janice) of Taylor; three sisters, Clarissa Kimble of Taylor, Simone Robinson of Huntsville, and Lisa Robinson (Robert) of Houston; four granddaughters, Kailynn Robinson of Round Rock, Texas, and Kayli Robinson, Kalia Robinson, and Kelsi Robinson of The Woodlands, Texas; and one great-grandson, Amir Ky Hunt of Round Rock, Texas.
