Jayden Simank

Jayden Billy Simank passed away at 23 years of age on August 3, 2026, doing something he loved—riding his motorcycle—on the way to a place he loved, the softball field. Jayden is a graduate of the Taylor High School class of 2021 and leaves behind a legacy of life, love, laughter, and friendship.

Jayden was born in Round Rock to Joel Simank and Renee (Hinostroza) on September 7, 2002, joining his big brother, Payton. Not long after, little brother Hayden came along. Jayden grew up in a large and tight knit family, rooted in Thorndale, and was often seen with one of his brothers or cousins. When Renee remarried in 2018, Jayden’s family grew to include a sister, McKayla. The family of six settled down in Taylor, where Jayden completed his secondary education as a Duck.

Jayden was a classic middle child. He admired his big brother, was larger than life, and gave his mama a little hell. He was pure joy—sunshine in a cup—the life of a party. He was the kind of person that knew no stranger and brought smiles into every space he occupied. He was a good looking kid with a style all his own, and he never met a mirror he didn’t like. His love of baseball and Busch Apple beer knew no bounds. The only thing he loved more was his people. Jayden loved like Jesus—full throttle, wide open, and without hesitation. He was determined to be successful but was just as determined to see others succeed. Jayden was known for coaching teammates on the field and developing peers in the workplace. To know Jayden was to love Jayden. His heart and character were unwavering and ran deep. As such, he touched many lives.

Jayden began playing baseball as a young child. This “lefty lefty’s” love for the sport followed him from his childhood into his adult years. In high school, he signed with Mid Michigan College to play baseball as a Laker. Injuries ultimately ended his baseball career, but his love for the game kept him involved in the sport. He shifted his focus to softball and recently started coaching youth baseball players.

After returning home from his time in Michigan, Jayden landed a job that took him all over the country. He took advantage of the travel, attending major league baseball games whenever he could. Jayden’s life on the road ended earlier this year as he took a position that allowed him to be home every night.

Jayden lived life to the fullest. On weekends, you could find him working on his Mustang, hitting homers, or cooking out. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Many who knew Jayden felt a love from him that left them feeling like a brother or best friend. But Jayden was blessed to have built in best friends in his brothers, Payton and Hayden. It was not unusual to find Jayden with at least one of them. In fact, it was through Payton and his wife, Morgan, that Jayden met the love of his life, Chainy. Their friendship quickly grew into love, and it wasn’t long before they moved in together. Jayden spent days on the road for work and weekends at ballparks with Chainy by his side.

Jayden’s family continued to grow when both of his brothers gave him nieces in the last year. It wasn’t long before the fun uncle was ready to be a daddy. Two weeks before his untimely death, Jayden and Chainy announced to the world that they were expecting. His daughter, Scottlyn Jayde, is due to join us in January. While she will grow up without her father on earth, her Heavenly Father will ensure that she knows her dad through his countless family and friends.

Jayden will forever be remembered for his energy, smile, personality, and light (and his occasional smart ass mouth).

Jayden is preceded in death by his father, Joel Simank, and grandparents Billy Simank, and Sharon Wilkinson.

He leaves behind his mother, Renee, and stepfather, Buddy; his brothers Payton (and wife Morgan) and Hayden (and girlfriend Maia); his sister, McKayla (and boyfriend Jacob); his nieces Skylar and Eliana; his girlfriend, Chainy; and their unborn daughter. His extended family includes his grandparents Noe and Margaret Hinostroza and Rhonda Simank; aunts and uncles Jeanie, John (and wife Kristy), Jennifer, Justin (and wife Naomi), Jason, Jill (and husband Todd), Janeann (and husband Ashaley), Christy (and husband Ruben), and Cynthia (and husband Garrett); cousins Ashtyn, Avery (and husband Dathan), Mason, Mycah, Eli, Alyssa (and husband Bobby), Graysen, Gwyneth, Tytus, Joy, Jacey, Jovie, Wyatt, Jaxon, Tucker, Addyson, Jameson, Hudson, RJ (and wife Ivette), Carlos (and wife Karla), Teagan, Emrie, and Stetson. Through Buddy, Jayden gained additional family members who loved him like their own: Pat, Shawn, Heather, and Paul, and their children.

This loss is felt by many.
