Upon retirement, they moved back to the Temple area in 1983. Alma and A.O. were faithful members of the Church of Christ in Texas City, Troy and the Northside congregation in Temple for many decades. In May of 2006 they moved to the Dallas area to spend the later years of their life with their two children.
