On Easter morning Ann Morgan Dillon passed away at her home in Temple. She was a young 86 years old. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 20th, at Bellwood Memorial Park with Bruce Mercer officiating. Ann was born in Temple on November 11, 1930, to Glenn and Jane Morgan, Sr. She graduated from Temple High School and went on to earn a degree in interior design from the University of Texas. In 1950 she married her high school sweetheart Bobby Dillon. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Temple. A talented artist, designer, and decorator, Ann joyfully shared God’s gift with family and friends. Rather than pursuing a career in this field, Ann chose to focus on her family. She is now painting rainbows and sunsets from heaven. Preceding her in death are her parents and brother, W. Glenn Morgan, Jr. Ann is survived by her husband, Bobby, her son, Dan Dillon of Honolulu, Hawaii; her daughter, Karen Gooch and husband, Richard of Salado; her three grandchildren: Dillon Gooch and wife, Amy of Houston, Weston Gooch and wife, Ashley of Houston, and Morgan Holt and husband, Stefan of New York; and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Gooch. The family expresses sincere appreciation to Tony Jeter of Tender Mercies and to her caregiver Shellyann White. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Temple, 2415 S. 47th St., Temple, TX, 76504 or to charity of choice.
