Aubrey Faye Ray

Funeral services for Aubrey F. Ray, 91, of Rogers will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Rogers with Rev Allen Raynor and Rev. John Witte officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery. Mrs. Ray died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Ray was born May 7, 1924 in Rogers to Dewitt Talmadge Copeland and Ada Vera Sumrell Copeland. She lived all of her life in Rogers. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1941 and married Doyle Ray April 3, 1945. He preceded her in death August 7, 2011. Mrs. Ray worked for Skinner Brothers Hardware and First State Bank in Rogers and was active in the Rogers PTA and the Rogers Service Club. She was a life long member of First Baptist Church, where she was the church treasurer for over forty years. She was honored, this year, at the 125th anniversary of the church for being the oldest living member of the congregation. Survivors include one daughter Vicki Sparks of Georgetown; three sons Dennis Ray of Temple, Brian Ray of Rogers and Jay Ray of Seaton; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Rogers Building Fund. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
