Audrey Stebenne, age 75, of Temple, Texas passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at her home in Temple. She was born on February 2, 1949 in New Bedford Massachusetts, the daughter of Oscar and Ruth (Chapman) Stebenne.
Lieutenant Colonel Audrey Stebenne USAF Retired served her country with honor and dedication for 22 years before retiring in 1992. She received numerous decorations including several for her service in Vietnam. She was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1820 in Temple and served as Post Commander 2007-2009. Following her retirement from the USAF, Audrey became an IRS Enrolled Agent and was self-employed in this capacity until her passing. She was also a member of the Newcomers Club in Temple.
She is survived by her sisters, Claire Stebenne of New Bedford, MA, Jane Stebenne of Troy, TX, and Marianne Stebenne of Dartmouth, MA, a niece Michael (Mark) Shaffer of Columbia, S.C. and a nephew Carson Stebenne of Austin, TX.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Ruth Stebenne and a brother Donald Stebenne.
