Barbara R. Hardin, age 80, of Temple died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 21 at Salado Cemetery with Rev. Norman Green officiating. Mrs. Hardin was born on June 29, 1929 in Salado to Walter J. and Lelia Irene (White) Stanford. She was a graduate of Temple High School. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse in Temple for many years. She was a member of Meadow Oaks Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, John Wesley Hardin and wife, Sheila of Temple, one daughter, Joanne Hardin of Temple, two brothers, E. W. Stanford and wife, Bonnie of Porter, John Stanford and wife, Betty of Belton, one sister, Rosemary Sims and husband, Jack of Temple and three grandchildren, Luis S. Acosta, Tyra Kay Allison and Hailey Brianna Hardin all of Belton. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
