

Beatrice Ellen White, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home in Temple. Bea was born on August 4, 1937, in Temple, Texas to Dennis and Libbie Chupik Bartek. She graduated from Academy High School and Durham Business College.
Bea married Stanley Wayne White on March 15, 1975. Together they owned Skate Haven for over 35 years.
Bea retired from USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (formerly Soil Conservation Service). She also worked for the Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts for a number of years.
Bea was an active member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple. She served as a Sunday school teacher, member of various committees, and volunteered wherever needed. She especially enjoyed helping in the kitchen on Wednesday nights for Celebrate Recovery.
Bea loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. She loved to cook and make them their favorite dishes and desserts. Bea also loved spending time with her dogs, Champ, Buddy and Jake, always giving them extra treats and affection.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, on August 2, 2017, her mother, father, and one brother, James Bartek. Survivors include her children: Dawn Heitman and husband, Mark, of Temple; Steven Vasek of Temple; Randy White and wife, Lisa, of Houston; and Krista White and wife, Sharon Tousley, of Fort Worth.
She was also survived by six grandchildren: Chelsea McLeod, and husband, Matthew, of Waco; Ian Heitman, of Temple; Lindsey Simon, and husband, Sean, of Fort Worth; Blake White of Kansas City, Missouri; Kaylee White and Noah White, of Fort Worth, as well as two great-grandchildren, Sadie Simon and Eleanor Simon of Fort Worth.
Also survived by her brother, Larry Bartek and wife, Janet, of Poteet and her sister, Joyce Brammer and husband, Chris, of Waco, and a sister-in-law, Dana Curry of Temple, and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the Oncology Department at Baylor Scott and White, especially Dr. Clay Gowan and his staff, Baylor Scott and White Hospice, and Heavenly Helpers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heights Baptist Church or Baylor Scott & White Vasicek Cancer Treatment Center.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7pm Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Koinm officiating. Entombment will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park Mausoleum.
