
Born: July 20, 1926 Place of Birth: Rogers, Texas Death: March 17, 2013 Place of Death: Round Rock, Texas Billie Jean Williams Farrell passed from this world on Sunday, March 17, 2013, after an extended illness. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family and friends. Billie was born on July 20, 1926 to Fred Elbert and Jimmie Ethel Williams in Rogers, Texas. She spent her entire life in the Rogers area. On June 27, 1942, she married the love of her life, Hulon Farrell. They enjoyed over 70 wonderful years together. They were a true love story. Billie was known and will be remembered for many things - the most important was the love she had for her God, her family and friends, and her caring, helping nature. Many people were touched by her life, especially the many children she nurtured for over 60 years as a Rogers Church of Christ Sunday School teacher and school secretary at Rogers Elementary School. She is survived by her husband, Hulon, son H.L. Farrell and wife, Barbara of Georgetown, Texas; son Don Farrell and wife Vickie of San Diego, California; daughter Linda Waggoner and husband, John of Round Rock, Texas; Adopted daughter Brenda Knowles and husband Tommy of Round Rock, Texas; grandson Donald Farrell and wife Cindy, granddaughter Vicki Strmiska and husband John, and grandson Bobby Martin and wife Melanie. Billie also loved her five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Heath Farrell, Corey Strmiska, McKenzie and Knox Martin. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Williams and wife Patsy, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Haynes. She was a favorite aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. Everyone loved to spend time at Granny and Pa's! Last but not least, she will be missed by her beloved cat, Missy. For the past 6 months, Billie and Hulon resided at Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Round Rock, Texas. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff for the compassionate and loving care they provided for Billie. They also appreciate the care and support provided by Hospice Compassus of Round Rock. Billie's grandsons and great grandsons will honor their grandmother by serving as pallbearers. Services will be provided by Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple, TX. Schedule of Services: Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19 from 6 - 8 pm at the Rogers Church of Christ. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 20 at 11 am at the Rogers Church of Christ. Interment will be immediately following funeral service at Rogers Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Dudley Watson.
