Billy Paul Brown

Billy Paul Brown, 75, of Temple, Texas, played his final round on this earth on September 26, 2026. He leaves behind a family he dearly loved, and a life remembered for Christian faith, friendship, shenanigans, and caring for others.

Billy graduated from Temple High School in 1969, followed by a working life including Central Freight and Tractor Supply Company. When not working -usually nights - you would find him on a local golf course, followed by a big plate of barbeque or a Texas-sized burger. He often loved to beam down to his living room couch to explore another exciting episode of Star Trek (preferably TNG).

Above all, Billy loved Jesus, having fun, and taking care of his friends and family. His Christian faith was central to his life, and his concern for the people around him was an expression of that devotion. Being there for those he loved mattered deeply to him. He was a genuine good ole boy who never met a stranger. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a good joke, help someone set up their electronics, offer a ride or help a stranger with a car repair.

Billy is survived by his wife, Carole; his daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Chris Pieper of Waco, Tx, his grand-daughter Audrey, and his son Jason. Each holds a cherished place in the story of his life.

His absence will be felt in everyday moments—whenever Pink Floyd comes on the radio, when the Longhorns score a touchdown, when we sit down for a movie (especially Ben Hur), and the family gatherings he helped make meaningful. His loved ones will remember him with gratitude for his care, his mischievous brand of fun, and the love he gave them his whole life.
