Bonnie Wilson, 91, of Belton Texas, passed peacefully on June 29, 2025. Bonnie was born on October 5, 1933, in Summerside, P.E.I. Canada. She attended Saint Mary Academy in Summerside and after graduating high school she moved to New York briefly before settling in Dallas, Texas to work in banking. In 1957 she met her future husband, James T. Wilson. They were married on February 15, 1958, and went on to have two daughters, Christy and Beth.
Bonnie's greatest achievement, of course, was her family, but she also considered becoming a US citizen as one of her proudest moments. She was an avid gardener and reader and loved anything to do with history, interior design and architecture. Her home was her pride and joy, always perfectly decorated and filled with the smells of fresh baked bread or cookies and meals cooked with herbs from her garden. Bonnie was ahead of her time. She made homemade yogurt before most knew what it was, flipped houses with her husband before it was a hit on HGTV and plied her kids with vitamins, yogurt and homemade trail mix on a daily basis which enabled them to have perfect attendance throughout school, much to their chagrin. After losing her beloved husband, she moved in with her youngest daughter Beth and her husband Peter where she was lovingly taken care of.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Wilson and her parents Joseph and Zelda Linkletter. She is survived her daughters Christy (Wilson) Hurt and her fiancé Michael O'Sullivan of NY and Beth (Wilson) Lydon and her husband Ret. Lt. Col. Peter Lydon of Belton, grandsons Nathan Hurt and wife Christie of Seguin, Texas, Zachary Hurt and wife Samantha of Stockdale, Texas and 5 beautiful great grandchildren, Kendall, Brayden, Raegan, Lexi and Brynlee.
