Brantley Ross King, age 67, of Temple died Sunday, August 22, 2010 in a local hospital. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 16, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Mr. King was born on December 3, 1942 in Waco to Harry Van Elwood King and Edith Mae Merritt King. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #1820. Survivors include his adopted family, Betty and Bob Moore, Bubba and Joshua Moore and his three close friends, William Daniels, Johnny Reeves and Thomas Hernandez.
