BRIAN EDWARD "OPIE" WHITE NOVEMBER 27, 1972 - DECEMBER 3, 2009 Brian was in the comfort of his home as he beautifully entered heaven to be with our Lord after living strong with melanoma for over five years. He was born in Temple to Ronnie and Marsha White on November 27th, 1972. Raised in Heidenheimer with his younger brothers, Brian's love for the outdoors began with backyard basketball, football games and frequent family camping trips. He attended Academy schools where he made some of his dearest friends and was nicknamed "Opie" at an early age by one of them. His greatest memories of school were sports, coaches and making all of his teachers crazy. He was voted Athlete of the Year his senior year along with two of his best friends. After graduation he attended Temple College and received an Associate's degree. In 1995, he started CounterTop Creations which became one of his most proudest accomplishments. He formed many great business relationships over the years and his honesty, integrity and kindness made him successful in everything he did. When he wasn't working, you could find him on the golf course, hunting or being with his family. After 7 years of dating his high school sweetheart, he made Dana Scott his wife on January 3, 1998. They were blessed with three miracles: Rian Keller, Rhea Ann and Reid Carter. Brian loved Dana and his children with such intensity; he found great pleasure in sharing how proud he was to be her husband and their father. His patience, gentleness and compassion for them made him a shining example of his heavenly father. Rian, Rhea and Reid loved everything about their daddy. He was their biggest playmate, their protector and their role model for growing up in the Lord. His Pappa Jay Goode, Granddaddy Freddie White and PaPa Joe Petru precede Brian in death. He is survived by his wife and three children, his parents, brothers Justin White and wife Jennifer, Darren White and fiancé Shannon, Grandmothers Lillie Goode and Billie White, his in-laws Ron and Kathy Scott, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Services for Brian will be Monday, December 7th at 2 pm at Western Hills Church of Christ. Visitation is at Scanio-Harper Sunday, December 6th from 3-5pm. Graveside services will be at Wilson Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Patrick Tomasek, Byron Bundy, Justin Powell, Jason Bullock, Jarred Walker, Chris Hargrove, Damon Martinez and Jason Martinez.
