
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at First Assembly of God, 11920 S Lone Star Parkway in Moody, Texas.
Bruce was born on October 28, 1954, in Waco, Texas. He attended school in Eddy and lived in several places throughout his life, including Eddy, Troy, Blum, Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Tempe, Arizona. On July 26, 1975, he married Diane Gan in Moody, and together they shared 50 years of marriage.
Bruce was an Eagle Scout and carried that spirit of determination and service throughout his life. He loved hunting, fishing, and rebuilding International Scouts. He had a passion for designing and re-designing his home and truly loved his work. Bruce also enjoyed traveling, with adventures that took him to Colorado, Korea, Japan, and many other places in the United States.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maggie Cross; his sister-in-law, Mary Gan; and his grandson, Kayn Kemp.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Gan of Temple; his children, Russell Gan of Georgetown, David Gan and wife Miranda of Tonopah, Arizona, and Justin Gan and wife Debbie of Temple; one sister, Sonia Gan of Troy; and brothers, David Gan of Ft. Worth and Curtis Gan and wife Joyce of Eddy. Seven beloved grandchildren: Cayla Camp and Serenity Gan both of Georgetown, Collin French of Phoenix, AZ, Hayden Gan of Tonopah, AZ, and Colton Gan, and Remington Gan of Temple. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Karter Kemp and Cyrus Kemp, both of Georgetown. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bruce will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who deeply cherished his family. He will also be remembered for his adventurous spirit, hardworking nature, and the joy he found in the outdoors and in his many projects.
