Bruce was born on October 6, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, to James Lee Mock and Leola Tonie (Trojan) Mock. He lived in San Antonio, Rosebud, and Temple throughout his life and attended school in Rosebud before continuing his education at Temple College.
Bruce married Debbie Carol Goode on August 16, 2002, in Bell County. Together, they shared many years filled with family, friendship, and cherished memories.
Bruce loved fishing and gardening, going on cruises, and making trips to the casinos with his family. He also looked forward to summer family vacations to Galveston, Texas, where he enjoyed making special memories with those he loved. He was always happy to enjoy a good buffet and looked forward to gathering around a meal with family and friends. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting events, and he was proud to be there supporting and cheering them on.
Bruce also had a great love for his horses, Sugar, Lucy, and Blonde, and enjoyed the time he spent caring for and being around them. Whether he was traveling, enjoying the outdoors, attending a grandchild's game, or simply spending time at home, Bruce was happiest when he was surrounded by the people and things he loved. Most of all, he cherished his wife, Debbie. Their time together was especially precious to him, and he loved her dearly.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Debbie Carol Goode Mock; daughter, Kristi Magana; sons, Matthew Mock and Brandon Goode; sister, Melissa Jennings; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee and Leola Tonie Mock; and his brothers, David Mock and James L. Mock Jr.
