Carol DeLeon-Welch

Carol E. Welch, beloved wife and mother passed into peace December 11th, 2012 after a short but valiant battle with illness. Services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, December 22, at Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Henderson and Rev. Billy Koinm officiating. Burial will follow at Reeds Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, December 21 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Carol was born August 18, 1961 in Slaton, Texas but lived most of her life in Temple. She worked 16 years for the McLane Company until she left to become a fulltime student at A&M Central Texas where she studied Criminal Justice and Crime Scene Investigation. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Mosley, father and mother, Billy & Louise Underwood as well as her brother, Charles Wayne Underwood. Carol is survived by her husband, Kevin Welch, and children Jeremy, Rhonda and her husband Brian, Jamie, Joey and his wife Leslie, and her three granddaughters, Hannah, Lilly, and Abigail, her brother, Joe Bob Underwood and his wife Dolores, of Holland and her sister, Billie Merle McCullough and her husband Gary, of Valley City, ND. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given in Carol's name to St Jude's Hospital where Carol was a long time contributor.
