Carrie M. Purcell, 95, of Arlington, Washington formerly of Academy died Thursday April 8, 2010 in Arlington, Washington. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Valley Cemetery in Little River-Academy with Rev. Don Lynn officiating. Visitation will be held 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Purcell was born November 12, 1914 in Richland Springs, Texas to Oliver Archie and Carrie Drinkard Toombs. She was a graduate of Academy High School. She married William B. Purcell; he preceded her in death in August of 2000. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Choate. Survivors include one son, William D. Purcell of Arlington, Washington; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
