Charles Ellis Davis

Funeral services for Charles Davis, 71, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Homer Dye officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mr. Davis died Tuesday in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Davis was born in Temple January 24, 1945 to Jackson Sloan Davis and Vera Addie Nichols Davis. He attended Temple High School. He was a truck driver and worked for E.R. Carpenter for 17 years. He owned Davis Roofing and was a Chimney Sweep. He was a member of Faith Temple Lighthouse. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, his son Terry Davis Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law Juanita and Joe Brinzo brother Billy Jack Davis, sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Elwyn McIver and brother-in-law Bob Michna. Survivors include his daughter Cheryl L. Mikeska and husband Mark of College Station; son Charlie Davis and wife Delania of Temple; Linda Davis, who he was married to for fifty years; grandchildren Joshua Mikeska, Anna Joy Mikeska, C.J. Davis, Tyler Davis, Megan Davis, Alyssa Davis, Amber Davis and Colton Davis and wife Izera; great grandchildren Lidia and Braelyn; brother Gary Davis and wife Cora of Temple; sisters Betty Calhoun and husband Tommy of Troy, Carolyn Dye and husband Homer of Troy, Sandra Michna of Lorena and Pat Davis and Charles Blackman of Temple and his puppy Princess. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
