
Funeral services for Charlie Dee Copeland Jr. , 86, of Denison, formerly of Temple will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Flint Creek Cemetery. Mr. Copeland died Friday in a Denison Medical Center. Mr. Copeland was born in Flat to Charlie Dee Copeland Sr. and Essie Ballard Copeland. He married Laverne Penn in 1950. She preceded him in death. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947. He worked for Artco Bell Manufacturing in Temple and worked for Mountain View College in Dallas. He lived in the Temple area for many years before moving to the Denison area. He was a Protestant. Survivors include one daughter Sandra K. Heffernan of McKinney; three sons Lonnie D. Copeland of Temple, James A. Copeland of Seattle, Washington and Tony C. Copeland of Denison; one sister Lolita Guenat of Temple; one brother Jan Copeland of Trinidad; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Charity of Choice. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
