Clara E. Brown, age 92 of Temple, died Monday, October 26, 2015 at local care center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Miss Brown was born on October 10, 1923 in Bell County, Texas to the late William H. Dobe' Brown and Annie G. Lawson Brown. She attended schools in Moffat and graduated from Belton High School. Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moffat. She was a teller at First National Bank, later Extraco Bank, for 42 years retiring in 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bertha Brown in 2008; a brother, Herbert Brown in 1986 and by one niece. Survivors include a niece, Lydia Draeger of The Grove and a nephew, Fred Brown of Temple and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given in Clara's name to First Baptist Church of Moffat, 13929 Moffat Road, Temple, Texas 76502.
