Clare Joyce Bearden, 52, of Moffat died Thursday at her residence. Private graveside services are planned for a later date. Mrs. Bearden was born August 12, 1960 in Uvalde to John U. Applewhite and Carolyn Nelson Applewhite. She married Gary Bearden May 11, 1998. She received an Associate Degree from Southwest Texas Junior College and received a Nursing Certificate from McLennan Community College. She worked for the William R Courtney Texas State Veterans Home in Temple and for Providence Hospital in Waco. She moved to Moffat in 2001 from Reagen Wells and was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband Gary Bearden of Moffat; one son Michael Bearden of Moffat and two sisters Dana Paige of Globe, Arizona and Sissy Garza of Mohave Valley, Arizona. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
