Funeral services for Clarence Dennis Pechal, 81, of Oscar will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at Seaton Brethren Church with Rev. Denise Mikeska officiating. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery. Mr. Pechal died Saturday in a Temple Care Center. Mr. Pechal was born September 5, 1935, in Oscar, to Joe Pechal and Rosie Vitek Pechal. He attended Little Elm School and graduated from Temple High School in 1954. He married LaVerne Janice Mikeska June 1, 1957 in Temple in the home of Rev. and Mrs. F.J. Kostohryz. She preceded him in death in 2016. He was baptized and confirmed at Ocker Brethren Church and was a member of Seaton Brethren Church. He had worked at Robert’s Used Cars, Best-Rite, Artco-Bell and Royal Seating. He was a member of SPJST Lodge #47 and WFLA Lodge #416.Mr. Pechal loved to take care of his family, make BBQ, keep the cars clean, work on old cars, go dancing, go to picnics, and make things out of wood.Mr. Pechal was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Arnold Pechal, Edd Pechal, Joe Pechal, Raymond Pechal and Jerry Pechal; his sisters Frances Pechal, Albina Pechal and Josephine (Josie) Dudley Survivors include one son Steve Pechal and his wife Patricia (Pat) of Temple; one daughter Linda Machicek and her husband Andy of Temple; two grandsons Joshua Andrew Machicek and Matthew Stephen Machicek, both of Temple; two sisters Vallie Zavodny and her husband Leon of Rogers and Lorene Kotrla of Temple; brother-in-law Robert Dudley of Richardson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Seaton Brethren Church. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
