Claude Darrell Waters

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the pavilion at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

CD’s family moved to Temple in 1932 and bought land and had a dairy which is now Waters Dairy Rd, he attended Temple Schools and then was drafted into the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He went on to work for Santa Fe Railroad in their communications department retiring after 45 years. On December 11, 1987 in Temple, TX, CD married Jeanette Barrera.

CD was former 32nd Degree Mason, former member of the Shriners and Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette of Temple, 3 children, Carlon Pate Gerke and husband Robert of Bryan, TX, James Pate and wife Jan of McKenzie, TN, and Chuck Parker of Temple, a sister-in-law Fern Waters, 3 nieces, Brenda Waters of Austin, TX, Patricia Havelka of Temple, TX, Kim Gilkey and husband Patrick of Sugarland, TX, and a nephew Danny Havelka and wife Stacie of Tomball, TX.
