Graveside services for Clayton Gene Calhoun, 56, of Little River-Academy will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Calhoun died Sunday in a Temple Hospital.
Mr. Calhoun was born in Temple, December 8, 1961, to Gene Calhoun and Mary Lee Harkin Calhoun. He graduated from Academy High School in 1980 and attended Temple College. He married Rose Gibson January 30, 1982. He worked in mechanical maintenance. He loved to work on cars and loved to work in carpentry. He moved to Little River-Academy in 1979.
Survivors include his wife Rose Calhoun of Little River-Academy; one son Jacob Cole Calhoun and his wife of Ashley of Cypress; one daughter Jennifer Vanicek and her husband Brent of Troy; two sisters Kate McKinley and her husband Carl of Sparks and Carol Karnowski and her husband Gene of Moody."In lieu of flowers memorials in his name may be sent to Project Walk (3281 Rocky Creek Dr., Suite 200, Missouri City, Texas 77459), a paralysis recovery center, to fund scholarship clients."
