Clyde Shumake

Clyde Shumake, age 71, of Temple died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 9, 2009 at Wilson Valley Cemetery with Chaplain Brent Eaton officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Shumake was born on December 14, 1937 in Temple to Evin and Gladys (Hart) Shumake. He married Anna Bussinger. He was employed at Superior Seating in Belton for many years. He was a member of Elks Lodge #138. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Robert Levingston, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include one daughter, Edith Bovee and husband, Floyd of Temple, two sons, Tom Levingston of Temple, Bill Levingston of Corpus Christi and one brother, Melvin Shumake and wife, Claudia of Little River. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Robert Hollowell and wife, Sam of Rogers, Nicole Hollowell of Temple, Louis Arnold III of Ingram, four great-grandchildren, Jonathon Jimenez, Destiny Hollowell, Taiteana Sykes and Kiara Sykes all of Temple. The family wishes to thank Jennifer, Brent and the entire staff at VistaCare Hospice.
