Dan Brower Phillips, Sr. 94 of Temple died Thursday March 25, 2010 in a local veteran's home. Graveside services with military honors will be 10AM Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Holland Cemetery with Rev. Allison Joyce officiating. Mr. Phillips was born February 21, 1916 in Centerville, Iowa the son of Dan and Fanny Klum Phillips. He was an U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II serving from 1941 to 1945. He was a member First Christian Church in Temple and had been a Temple resident for the last 60 years. He worked for the VA Hospital for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Twylah Evelyn Phillips in 2000. He is survived by a son, Dan Phillips, Jr. of Temple and a sister, Mary Charles of Bloomfield, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 6 until 7 PM on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
