Donald D. DeLancy

Donald D. DeLancy, age 77, of Temple died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at his residence. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple with Dr. Ron Milne officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Mr. DeLancy was born October 21, 1934 in Mannford, Oklahoma to Emory G. and Geneva Wanda Robinson DeLancy. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He married Joyce Lowers on November 5, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple where he served as a Deacon, taught a men's Sunday School Class, worked with the Good News Club going to Scott Elementary School, and taught the Awana Program at Immanuel Baptist Church. Donald was the treasurer for the Senior Golf Association in Moody. Survivors include his wife Joyce of Temple; two daughters, Sheri Posey and husband Kevin of Spring Branch, TX and Debbie Riley and husband Chris of Columbia, TN; one son, Chuck DeLancy and wife Lynn of Abilene, TX; three sisters, Anna Mae Harris, Patricia Jo Crosier and husband Chuck, and Judy Brown all of Sand Springs, OK; seven grandchildren Keri Golden, Laura Beeman, Christene Posey, Danielle Riley, Lee Ann Sepulvado, Brandon Riley, and Devin DeLancy; two great grandchildren Mason and Kailey Golden.
