

Donald Christopher Noonan, 76, of Temple, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on March 3, 2026. He was the husband of Marsha Phillips Noonan of Temple, Texas. They shared 53 years of marriage together and had lived in Temple since 1995.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of Edward Noonan and Evelyn Blood. He attended George P. Butler High School (class of 1968) in Augusta, GA and earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. Donald was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a corpsman. After discharge he had a long career with the Veterans Administration Hospital serving veterans in Augusta, GA; Atlanta, GA; Jackson, MS; Albuquerque, NM; and Temple, TX.
Donald was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the National Rifle Association. A nature lover, he enjoyed his beautiful backyard and koi pond. He loved traveling, especially to the beach. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the stories he told, especially those involving accidents with tools and bee stings.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha; daughter, Stacey Elaine Ridout and husband (Lee); son, Christopher Brice Noonan; grandsons, Maddox Ridout, Malcom Ridout, and Logan Gabriel; sister, Nancy Noonan; and 8 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edward F. (Skip), Robert W. (Bobby), and John P. (Jackie) Noonan; sister, Lori Noonan; and niece, Shauna Warren.
Viewing and visitation will be held at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple, TX on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
