

Doris Ann Raska Goldman went to live with her Lord on March 28, 2016. John Witte will officiate at her graveside service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple, Texas. Mrs. Goldman was born in Milam County, Texas on April 30, 1928 to Anna and Joseph Raska. She married Raymond R. Goldman on June 11, 1949 at First Lutheran Church in Temple, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2011 after 61 years of marriage. In her earlier years, she was a Girl Scout leader, President of Lamar PTO, and President of Temple High School PTO. She also served as secretary of Church Women of Temple. She graduated from Buckholts High School as valedictorian of her class. She attended Durham Business School in Austin while working at the Texas State Land Office. She returned Temple in 1945 and worked as office manager of Temple Life Insurance. Her husband established Goldman Electric Motor Company in in April of 1949 and she served as office manager, working with him until they retired in January, 1992. She then joined him in their hobbies of fishing, hunting, farming, and ranching. Mrs. Goldman was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Joan Cox of Marble Falls, her son, Mark Goldman and his wife, Sharon of Temple, her daughter, Janet Holliman and her husband, Jim also of Temple. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren – Michelle Bassett and her husband, Jimmy, Melanie Brune and her husband, Jimmy, Kyle Goldman and his wife, Kristy, Robert Holliman and his wife, Heidi, and Allison Oliver and her husband, Michael. In addition, she leaves 6 great-grandchildren, with another due in July. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church building fund or to a charity of your choice.
