Miss Hart was born in Comanche to John Allen Hart and Lillie Maye Arnold Hart. She received her Bachelors Degree from North Texas State University in Denton and then received her Masters Degree, in Library Science, from Sul Ross University in Alpine. She taught elementary school in Barnhart and Big Lake, however she lived most of her life in Waco. She was a Baptist, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ellen Hurd. Survivors include her brother Ted Richardson of Waco and niece Melinda Greger of Temple and nephews Mike Hurd of Temple and Gary Hurd of Waco.
