
Doris Onita Fuller Burch, 86, of Temple, died Monday, April 16, 2007 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Avenue T Church of Christ with Minister Loyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. She was born May 16, 1920 in Temple to Olin and Grace Jones Fuller. She was a graduate of Temple High School. She married Curtis Burch, Sr. in Temple in 1942 and was married for 50 years prior to his death in 1992. She taught Sunday School at the Oenaville Church of Christ where her husband Curtis preached for over 30 years. Mrs. Burch had been employed with the Temple Independent School District for 15 years. She was a member of the Avenue T Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible class. She was an active member of the Temple Alzheimer's Disease Family Support Group for over 20 years and was always willing to assist family members whose loved ones were victims of the disease. She loved everyone and was loved by all. Doris always took time to listen to others and offer her help. Doris lived with Jesus in her heart and did her good works to glorify God. Survivors include two sons, Curtis Burch, Jr. of Georgetown and David Burch and wife Zana of Temple; two grandchildren, David Allen Burch, and wife Crystal and Amanda Burch; one great-grandchild, Bradley Burch. Pallbearers will be David Allen Burch, Heath Cope, Guillermo Carnegie, Larry Morris, Steve Alston, and Curtis Starnes. Memorials may be made to Avenue T Church of Christ Van Fund, 2009 W.
