Douglas Russell Wright, age 49 of Temple, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Rogers, Texas. Private family services will be held at a later date. Doug was born on May 26, 1962 in San Pablo, Calif. to the late Dwain Reese Wright and Zolla Barbara Schmidt Wright. He was raised in the Bay Area of California and attended schools there. Doug learned carpet laying with his father and brothers and was a carpet layer by trade. He was the youngest brother of seven children. Doug loved fishing, the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister. Survivors include his brothers, Raul Garcia of Temple; Steven Dwain Wright of Houston and Anthony Lee Wright of Temple; sisters, Claudette Oliver of Temple; Debra Lynn Spacek of Rogers; Jennifer Denise Hines of San Antonio and Leslie Wright-Shafer of Morgan's Point Resort. Memorials may be made in Doug's name to the American Cancer Society.
