Elizabeth M. (Giesen) Jenkins

She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 14, 1931, the eighth and last child of Aloysius Giesen and Elizabeth Steffan. She attended schools in Milwaukee.

After school, she traveled a lot to Tennessee, Nevada, Arizona where she lived several years, and then Texas. She worked at varied jobs wherever she went. She married Christley Jenkins on November 24, 1978, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mineral Wells. He preceded her in death. Elizabeth played the accordion and loved listening to accordion music. She moved from Mineral Wells to Temple, where she stayed. She enjoyed gardening, birds, flowers, and tinkering in her shop. There was nothing she couldn’t fix her way.

She is survived by a niece, Sherry Brzycki, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, with a visitation to follow from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Cyclone. Interment will be at Greathouse Cemetery, Hwy 93, Temple.
