Eric Leron Stewart, age 59, of Temple, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in a Round Rock, Texas hospital. He was born on August 21, 1962 in St. Louis, MO the son of Jerry and Fannie Stewart.
Eric will lie in state Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the funeral home followed by a burial with military honors at 2:00pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
Eric graduated from O’Fallon Technical in O’Fallon, MO, served his country in the United States Army, and worked for the VA Hospital System in Temple, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Stewart of Temple, children; Eric Leron Stewart, Jr and wife Amanda Emprimo of Temple, Jordie Kenneth Emmanual Stewart and wife Jacky of Temple, Erica Lee Montisa Stewart of Temple, Gwendolyn Lashay Stewart of Temple, and Sheila Delisa Martinez and husband Lewis of Temple, 15 grandchildren; Amiri, Amara, Zaira, Atticus, Azelea, Liliana, Levius, Kazuki, Wren, Eli, Zentasia, Ma’Ryah, Jeremii, Ja'Andree, and Iyla. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Jerry Stewart, Jr. of Shreveport, LA, Anthony Stewart of Rosamond, CA, Sandra Stewart of Shreveport, LA, Denise Walker of Shreveport, LA, Connie Walker of Shreveport, LA, James Walker of South Carolina, and Lisa Grant of Shreveport, LA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Carl Walker, and sisters Diane Walker and Yvette Stewart.
