Erlinda (Lopez) Pedroza

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple. Interment will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.

Erlinda was born on May 4, 1950, in Taylor, Texas, to Leonardo and Leandra (Rodriquez) Lopez. She was raised in Granger and attended Granger ISD before continuing her education at Austin Community College. On May 31, 1975, she married the love of her life, Johnny Ambrose Pedroza, and together they shared nearly 36 years of marriage before his passing in 2011.

A faithful Catholic, Erlinda was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was also active with St. Luke Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church throughout her life. She dedicated herself to serving others through organizations including the Knights of Columbus, Altar Society, Feed My Sheep, the Red Hat Society, and the Granger Rangers. Erlinda was known for her warm spirit, her gift for making lasting friendships, and her love of dancing, walking, and aerobics. Above all, she had a special passion for caring and helping children in her community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ambrose Pedroza; brothers Benny Lopez, Leonard Lopez, Robert Lopez, and Buck Lopez; sister-in-law Sharon Lopez; brothers-in-law Randy, Andrew, and Will; and her niece and nephews, Erik, Orlando, Veronica, and Austin.

Erlinda is survived by her sons, Johnny James Pedroza and wife Amanda of San Antonio, and Mark Anthony Pedroza of Troy; honorary daughters, Candi Morisset-Bromfield of Webster and Angelina Rios and husband Edwin of Temple; sister, Janie Dominguez and husband Ygnacio of Grapevine; sisters-in-law, Alice Lopez Mares and husband Ed of Temple, Vicky Owens of Knoxville, Tennessee, Gloria Pedroza of Milano, Stacey Pedroza and husband Joseph of Thorndale, Becky Pedroza of Taylor, Linda Pedroza and husband David of Round Rock, Fina Lopez of Temple, Sally Lopez of Bartlett, and Connie Lopez of Granger; brothers, Toby Lopez and wife Gloria of Cedar Park, Edward Lopez and wife Dolores of Temple, Albert Lopez and wife Martina of Elgin, Abelardo “Indio” Lopez of Hutto and Andrew "Dru" Lopez and wife Monica of Jarrel; grandchildren, Evan James, Malaki, Zoe, Amirah, Ivy, Violet, and Gabriel; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corby Simpkins, Isaac Pedroza, Richard Eitel, Jason Eitel, Nick Olveda, Shad Stevens, Audie New, and Junior Lopez.
