Ernest W. Klechka Jr.

Ernest William Klechka, Jr., age 76, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home in Temple. He was born on October 23, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Ernest and Ann (McArthur) Klechka.

A visitation at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King 210 E. 24th Ave, Belton Tx will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Then a graveside Service at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple, Texas.

Ernest was a Metallurgical Engineer. He worked for Alyeska Pipeline for 15 years in Anchorage, Alaska. He later moved to Texas and retired from Citco. He was a NACE instructor, loved teaching and sharing his knowledge with those all around him. He was a member of the Eagle River Lions Club for many years as well as serving as District Governor. He was a Master Mason for his lodge. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Nancy.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Klechka of Temple; his children, Debbie Daley and husband Daren Daley of Temple, Will Klechka and his wife Holly Holmes of Salado and Jason Klechka and his wife Gloria Klechka of Alameda, California; seven grandchildren, Brittany Parker, Kayla Daley, Sydney Klechka, Ryley Klechka, Hannah Klechka, Ian Klechka and Bethany Daley and three great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Parker, Melynnie Sladeck and JaCorey Hobbs; a sister, Barb Piazza and husband Paul Piazza of North Ridgeville, Ohio and a nephew, Michael Piazza and wife Tracy Piazza of Parma, Ohio.
