Eugene L. (Gene) Dana, age 82 of Fort Worth formerly of Temple, died Monday, June 8, 2015 in a Fort Worth care center. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 11, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow at Seaton Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Dana was born August 15, 1932 in Temple to Joe F. and Albina Sefcik Dana. He was a graduate of Temple High School. He married Barbara Fojtasek on August 17, 1963. He retired from Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Army National Guard for 18 years and a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Dana of Fort Worth, daughter, Denise Nickel and husband, James of Arlington, son, Allen Dana and wife, Rebecca of Plano, three grandchildren, Jefferson and Sebastian Dana and Amanda Nickel and brother, Leroy Dana and wife, Gerry of Temple. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
