Eugene Persky

Graveside services for Eugene Persky, 82, of Little River Academy will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday July 9, 2007 at Holland Cemetery with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Persky died Friday July 6, 2007 in a Temple living center. Mr. Persky was born in Bartlett to Victor Persky and Ethel Hargrove Persky. He lived in Sparks and Bartlett before moving to Little River Academy where he lived for over fifty years. He attended school in Sparks and Academy. He married Imogene Buckley Dec. 5, 1942. She preceded him in death April 30, 1999. Mr. Persky served in the Marines during World War II. He worked as a route salesman and in advertising for Coca Cola in Temple for forty five years. Survivors include four sons James Persky and his wife Diana of Salado, Rick Persky of Killeen, Randall Persky of Temple and Wayne Persky of Tucson, Arizona; one daughter Jeannie Persky of Little River Academy and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
