Eva Bradlie Dusek, age 90 of Temple, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Eva was born in Odessa, Texas on July 31, 1924 to the late James Warrington Stockham and Eva Harris Stockham. Her family soon moved to Dallas where she grew up. She was the oldest of five children. She met her late husband, Ed "Duke" Dusek, on a blind date while she was attending Texas Women's University. They married in Atlanta after Duke got out of the service. Soon thereafter they moved back to Duke's hometown in Central Texas. She is survived by her two younger sisters, Colleen White and Jane Stockham; two sons, Danny and Brad Dusek; four grandchildren and their spouses, along with seven great grandchildren (and one more on the way). After raising their family, she and Duke traveled the world, going to over 250 countries. She was an artist, like her mother, enjoyed solving the daily cryptogram in the paper and loved to play cards. She was an active member in her church community and taught Sunday school, served as President of the Temple Garden Club and enjoyed many friendships. She loved to laugh and could often be caught giggling at something. Her interests were varied - she could discuss sports, politics and just about anything that came up in conversation. We will miss her sweet laugh and her thoughtful demeanor. She loved her family and we all loved and adored her.
