
Mrs. Eva Bernice Hughes, 77, of Belton died Saturday March 29, 2008 at her residence. Services for Mrs. Hughes will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Hughes was born February 6, 1931 in Pond Creek, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Roosevelt and Eva Stolz Acker. Mrs. Hughes was a retired Nurses Assistant and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, she also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton. Mrs. Hughes is survived by one daughter Darlene Meyers of Belton, three sons Chip Dunsmoor of Cameron, Howard Dunsmoor of Oswego, New York and Robert Hughes of California. Other survivors include a sister Elizabeth Acker and brothers Jack, Bill, Howard and Charles all of Pennsylvania, as well as numerous grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a husband, Charles Hughes and three sons, William Charles, Charles, Jr. and John Michael. Visitation will be held from 6:00 8:00 PM Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
