Florence Morgan

Funeral services for Florence Pearl Taylor Morgan, 92, of Rogers will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Rogers with Rev. Weldon Hicks and Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Morgan was born in Milam County to James Jackson Taylor and Georgie P. Frits Taylor. She attended South Elm School. She lived all her life in the Rogers area. She was a long time member of County Line Baptist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and was involved with the G.A.'s. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She married Dee Edward Morgan Sr. August 15, 1934 and he preceded her in death May 1, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Michael D. Morgan and two daughters-in-law Marie Morgan and Jean Morgan. Survivors include eight sons Dee Edward Morgan Jr. of Moffat, Kenneth M. Morgan of Heidenheimer, James T. Morgan of Rogers, Loyd E. Morgan Sr. of Rogers and J.P. Morgan Sr. of Rogers, Maxie Morgan of Cameron, Freddy Morgan of Rogers and David L. Morgan Sr. of Temple; two daughters Darleen Morgan Sanderson of Temple and Mary Ann Morgan of Rogers; twenty four grandchildren, forty eight great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren; thirteen step grandchildren, eighteen step great grandchildren, and twelve step great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Peaceable Kingdom or to Vista Care Hospice 2626 S 37th St. Temple, Texas 76504. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
