Floyd was a longtime resident of San Marcos, Texas, before moving to Temple in 2021. He attended the College of William & Mary. Floyd proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961 and continued his military service in the Army Reserve from 1961 to 1967.
On March 16, 1985, Floyd married Danis Cheryle Mackenzie in Austin, Texas. He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple and the Knights of Columbus.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Danis Cheryle Mackenzie of Temple; his sister, Diana Parrino; his nieces, Geraldine Webb and Jean Pelata; his nephews, Donald and Darin Mackenzie of Belton; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Rose Rita Mackenzie; his sisters, Rosemarie Siegner and Donna Nelson; and his nephew, John Siegner.
