Forrest E. (Ed) Brown, Jr.

Forrest E. (Ed) Brown, Jr., age 68 of Temple, died Friday, March 11, 2016 in a local care center.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 15th at Foundation United Methodist Church in Temple with Rev. Ryan B. Kiblinger officiating.   Mr. Brown was born November 11, 1947 in Glendale, California to Forrest E. and Lois Jean Ashcraft Brown.  He graduated from John Burroughs Senior High School in Burbank, California in 1966.  He married Judy Lynn Morse on November 25, 1967 in Burbank.  She preceded him in death on March 9, 2007.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was a combat engineer.  He received Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars and a Purple Heart.  He was a member of Foundation United Methodist in Temple and had worked as a truck driver for 38 years.   Survivors include three sons, Ronald E. Brown and wife, Melissa of Eddy, Robert Brown and wife, Alana of Montague, California and Rodger Brown and wife, Jessica of Medford, Oregon and 10 grandchildren, Brittnie, Autumn, Anthony, Chelsie, Taylor, Samantha, Dallas, Alexis, Trevor and Julius.  Also surviving is one brother, James R. Brown.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home, 1424 Martin Luther King, Jr. Lane, Temple, TX 76504.
