Frank Joe Matous

Funeral services for Frank Joe Matous, 82, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Pat Dietrich officiating. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery. Mr. Matous died Sunday in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Matous was born in Ocker October 19, 1927 to William Matous and Henrietta Cabla Matous. He graduated from Temple High School. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II in Occupied Japan. He married Bernice Daude July 11, 1956. He had worked for Empire Seed, Temple Cotton Compress and retired as manager of Tejas Warehouse System. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers Bill Matous and Ladis Matous and one sister Helen Sandefur. Survivors include his wife Bernice Matous of Temple; one daughter Kay Matous of Temple, two brothers Ed Matous and Gene Matous both of Temple; two sisters Henrietta Everett and Norma Alford both of Temple. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
