The mass of Christian Burial for Gabriel Torres, age 27 of Temple, will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 31st, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Father Amado Ramos as celebrant. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Gabriel Torres was born on November 19, 1995 in Temple, Texas to Maria Torres and Valeriano Torres. He graduated Troy High School with the class of 2014. Following graduation, he began working for Wilsonart. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, and uncle – he was loved by so many. The love of his life was his precious daughter, Gianna Torres. He loved to spend every single free minute with her. He was very family oriented and one of six children, part of a very tight-knit family. He loved to grill, play basketball, watch football, go to the beach, sing, dance and spend time with family. He loved to make everyone feel included and his bright, beautiful smile would light up the room. He truly had a heart of gold. Gabriel was preceded in death by a brother, Valeriano Torres, Jr.
Survivors include his parents, Maria and Valeriano Torres; four brothers, Pablo Torres, Valerio Torres, Daniel Torres, and Vicente Torres; a sister, Mayra Bhagat; and his daughter, Gianna Sofia Torres.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm both at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Valeriano Torres, Pablo Torres, Valerio Torres, Daniel Torres, Vicente Torres, and Pablo Torres, Jr.
