Funeral services for Garland Yakesch, 80, of Holland will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery. Mr. Yakesch died Saturday in a Temple Living Center Mr. Yakesch was born in Thorndale, Texas to Louis Yakesch and Emma Seidle Yakesch. He moved to Holland and lived there for seventy years. He graduated from Holland Schools. He married Juanell Schmidt May 10, 1958. She preceded him in death October 28, 2013. He was a trailer truck driver, worked at Chupik Industries and worked for Norgas and Enderby Propane Companies for twenty years in service and management and worked for Midway Drive for ten years. He was a Baptist. Survivors include three daughters Katherine Yakesch of Holland, Tammy Yakesch of Holland and Patricia Yakesch of Dallas and one grandson Jamie Yakesch of Holland. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Scott and White Hospice. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
