Gloria Jean Ivey, age 59, of Holland died Thursday, December 31, 2009 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2010 at Reed Cemetery near Rogers with Rev. Randy Holtzclaw officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday, January 3 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Ivey was born on February 9, 1950 in San Antonio to Edward Calvin and Anice Pearl (Barrett) Jones. She was reared and educated in Lamesa. She had been a resident of Holland for over 20 years. She married Jimmy Dell Ivey on September 4, 1988. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Dell Ivey of Holland, two sons, George Edward Ricks and wife, Betty of Belton, Wesley Craig Ricks and wife, Claudia G. of Temple and four grandchildren, Brittannie, Quenton, Hunter and Forrest. Also surviving are three sisters, Darla Koonsen and husband, Allen of Holland, Mae Pearl Pruett of Moffat, Betty Sue Jones of Belton and one brother, Ronnie Jones and wife, Bobbie of Arlington.
