H. F. "Hap" Weaver

H. F. "Hap" Weaver, age 88, of Salado died Thursday, August 24, 2006 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 26, at Temple Bible Church with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Weaver was born January 7, 1918 in Teague to John Frank and Lily Brannon Weaver. He graduated from Van High School and Texas A&M University in 1950. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps during WW II serving in the European Theater. He married Ginger Miers on October 5, 1946 in Mexia. He retired from Mobil Oil Corporation as a regulatory engineer in 1988. Mr. Weaver was a member of Temple Bible Church and Gideons International. Survivors include his wife, Ginger Weaver of Salado, sons, Hap Weaver and wife Laura of Boerne, John Fred Weaver of Salado and daughter, Yvette Ellison and husband, Doug of Petersburg, TX. Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.-. Memorials may be made to Temple Bible Church, Gideons International or favorite charity.
