OBITUARY HATTIE L. BINNS Funeral services for Hattie Loree Binns, 84, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Parker officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Binns died Thursday October 25, 2012 in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Binns was born September 27, 1928 in Brownwood to Edmound Gaines and Clara Tanner Gaines. She lived in Temple most of her life and graduated from Temple High School. She married Millard Binns in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She worked for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service for over ten years and retired from the Food Service Department of Temple Schools in May, 1998. She also worked for Immanuel Baptist Church Child Development Center and owned and operated Briarwood Pipe and Tobacco Shop and Binns Clock Shop in Temple. Mrs. Binns was preceded in death by one daughter Patti Binns Baer in 1983 and one son Larry Wayne Binns in 2006. Survivors include two grandchildren Alison Binns Cook of Temple and Jill Binns Wozniak and five great grandchildren Brittani Cook, Bryan Cook, Brody Cook, Aiden Wozniak and Jered Wozniak. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church Youth Fund or to Memorial Baptist Church Bus Fund. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
